KGB Security can supply some solutions to assist with communication issues with wireless systems however, there may be some issues that are beyond the control of KGB. Wireless alarm systems may require a stable internet connection to function fully, especially for remote access, mobile app control, and alerts. KGB Security is not responsible for system performance issues arising from poor, unstable, or unavailable internet at the installation site. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure a reliable internet connection is maintained.

30Alarm Servicing

KGB Security offers post-installation support for troubleshooting and maintenance. However, service calls related to the internet or connectivity issues may be caused by the Client’s network or third-party providers. Additional charges may apply for service calls of this nature. KGB Security recommends that all alarm systems, wired or wireless, have a full service every 12 months to ensure that they perform at their best, with no faults. Any components of a system requiring replacement is considered to be preventative maintenance. Maintenance does not extend the warranty of a system, anything replaced would have their separate liability defect period and manufacturer’s warranty for the specific component only. Service calls relating to internet or connectivity issues caused by the clients network, equipment, or third-party service providers (e.g. internet service providers) will incur additional charges. This includes, but is not limited to, disruptions/changes caused by routers, network settings, or outages beyond KGB Security’s control. If existing cables are found to be insufficient, damaged, or otherwise unsuitable during installation or servicing, additional charges may apply for repairs or replacements. KGB Security does not warrant performance issues related to compromised or third-party-installed cables. Damage caused by environmental factors such as weather, water ingress, vermin, or pests is not covered under warranty. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that installed systems are protected from such conditions. Where intercom functionality relies on internet or network connections, service calls resulting from issues outside KGB Security’s control, including modem/router changes, third-party outages, or internal network faults, may incur additional fees. If an intercom relies on a simcard for functionality, the reoccurring cost is the responsibility of the Client as well as the supply of this for the installation. Unless specified prior to the installation, the internal intercom handset/units are assumed to be the responsibility of the unit owner/tenant. External intercom hardware and shared cabling are assumed to be the responsibility of the body corporate or building management. If the fault involved both the internal and external components, KGB would treat it as a body corporate responsibility unless specified otherwise. For intercom systems that rely on a shared power supply location, it is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that clear and safe access to the power source is available at the time of installation or service. Failure to provide access may result in delays, additional charges, or the rescheduling of work. The warranty does not cover faults resulting from misuse, unauthorized modifications, external damage, or third-party interference. KGB Security is not liable for system defects resulting from existing infrastructure, prior installations, or third-party equipment unless expressly included in the project scope. All work is tested and documented upon completion. For any installation, a major Installation is defined as any project requiring more than 8 hours of total labour. KGB Security requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any postponement, rescheduling, or cancellation of a Major Installation. If adequate notice is not provided, cancellation fees will apply. If a cancellation or rescheduling occurs on the scheduled day after technicians have arrived on site, the Client will be charged a call-out fee plus travel time for all technicians involved. If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time (but before technicians are dispatched), a standard call-out fee will still apply and be charged. These measures are in place to cover the costs of time allocated and resources prepared for the scheduled work. Any other systems installed by KGB Security that fall under the category of electronics or digital security are covered by the same terms and conditions outlined above. This includes but is not limited to site access requirements, installation standards, preexisting cable conditions, estimated labour charges, and product and installation warranties. Any KGB Installed systems are also subject to the same six-month installation defect liability period and any applicable manufacturer warranties as outlined previously. As with all electronic systems installed by KGB Security, labour required for diagnosing or replacing faulty components outside the defect period is not covered and will be charged accordingly. Any limitations or faults due to existing infrastructure, environmental conditions, or misuse fall outside KGB Security’s responsibility and may incur additional rectification costs. 24-Hour Emergency Assistance - Terms and Conditions General Terms and Conditions KGB Security provides 24-hour emergency locksmith services, subject to technician availability.
